"If you haven't found something strange during the
day, it hasn't been much of a day." -- John A. Wheeler
PROVIDING SUBSTANTIVE COMMENTARY ON THE
PEOPLE, POLITICS, EVENTS AND ABSURDITIES OF
OUR TIME. SERVED UP WITH ACERBIC WIT, YOU
SHOULD FIND IT QUITE SATISFYING.

About
I've been writing and publishing op/ed commentary and humor
for a decade and a half. My material is liable to touch on
almost any topic that would be of interest to the average news
junkie, but since 9/11 there has been an emphasis on issues
related to the war against terror. I also particularly enjoy
going after the mass psychosis of global warming hysteria.
All of my columns are infused with some degree of humor
and/or acerbic wit. Logic and reason are there, as well, since I
am trying to bring readers round to my point of view, but each
column has to be lively, stimulating and witty. This is what
distinguishes me from those who either write dry position
pieces or angry screeds. My articles have appeared in many
local and national print publications and web sites.
I'm originally from Alabama. I received a degree in political
science at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, which I
freely admit was not the smartest thing I ever did. I later got
into the field of meteorology, of all things, and worked for 17
years at a certain cable television channel that has become
known for hyping anthropogenic global warming. My penchant
for writing about politics and social issues developed during
my stint there and has continued unabatedly ever since.
Besides the many kudos and insults I've gotten from average
readers over the years, I once received a personal
communication and a t-shirt from a Waffle House executive
who was pleased with an article I had written that contained
positive comments about the restaurant. I was disappointed,
however, that I didn't get a free meal out of the deal.
